I know how transportation decisions become real results.

Today I serve as a Director of the Los Angeles County North County Transportation Coalition. For more than a decade, I also served communities through the California State Assembly and Senate, working across 23 cities in three counties.

My work included high-speed rail, Caltrans, Metro, Metrolink and local transportation agencies. This work brought together legislation, advocacy, community engagement and the day-to-day work of solving mobility challenges.

I also worked directly with Metro community and business programs, including the Business Interruption Fund, Eat Shop Play, mitigation efforts and transportation safety education. I understand that a successful project must move people while respecting the businesses and neighborhoods along the way.

Every city deserves to be heard

I have been in touch with representatives across all 12 cities. Their needs are distinct, but the goal is shared: safer, more reliable and better-connected transportation. I will keep listening, build consensus and advocate for solutions that work across boundaries.
